The Kulturschock was born on November 22nd 1992 by a small group of people with the intention to make the sunday nights at the SCHULZ a little more fun. The concept was to give people the opportunity to get on stage in front of some audience, to show them what they can (or think they could). At the beginning, at the Bismarckstreet, the number of visitors was few. This was the chance to gather experience in front of a small audience and to get self-assurance and some got hooked and formed a group. What nobody could foresee was, that when we moved to the new location, at the Kartaeuserwall 18, that we would gain such a popularity.

In the meantime we reached "cult status" here in Cologne. We, the SCHOCKLETT'S, did so many songs, dances, stand-ups, comedy and trash on stage. We shocked the audience, the masters of ceremony, the technicians and guests by spontanious actions which - most of the time - nobody had planed in advance. That's probalbly why the spectators love us (that's my personal judgement): we can perform the same song several times, but it will hardly ever be the same as the one before!

Enough said! Better would be you just come by and have a peak. May be you will be infected and soon be on stage yourself!

You can find us in Cologne, Kartaeuserwall 18, downstairs at the "Katakombe".The show starts at 9PM, but you should be there at around 8PM to get a ticket for 4,00Euro.
